Terms of Use
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms describe the basis on which USPowerData provides its public electricity-data presentation. By using the site, you acknowledge the limits below.
Informational purpose
USPowerData is an independent educational and analytical website. It is not live grid telemetry, an emergency service, an official EIA publication, a utility portal or a substitute for professional advice. Charts and text are intended to make selected public datasets easier to explore.
No operational or market reliance
Do not use this site to operate equipment, schedule or dispatch electricity, respond to an outage, trade energy, value a contract, calculate a bill, satisfy a regulatory filing or make a safety-critical decision. Reporting delays, missing submissions, transformations and revisions make the site unsuitable for those purposes. Consult the relevant official source and qualified professionals.
Accuracy and availability
Reasonable care is taken to describe the implemented methodology, but the site is provided without a promise that every value, label, chart, link or update will always be complete, current, accurate or available. EIA values can be preliminary or revised, and a site build may fail or be delayed. Missing content must not be interpreted as a measured zero.
For known scope and transformations, read the methodology. Suspected presentation errors can be submitted through the contact page.
Third-party data and names
The underlying electricity data are supplied by third parties, principally the US Energy Information Administration. Their data, documentation, names and websites remain subject to their own notices and terms. USPowerData’s grouping, conversion and explanatory choices do not turn the presentation into an official source record.
USPowerData is not affiliated with, endorsed by or officially connected with the EIA, a utility, a balancing authority or a grid operator.
Links and reuse
You may link to public USPowerData pages. Before reusing a displayed value, verify it against the cited source and preserve enough context to identify the series, unit, period, timestamp and any transformation. Third-party material may have separate attribution or reuse requirements.
Links to EIA, GitHub, Google or other services are provided for context and convenience. USPowerData does not control those services, their content, availability, privacy practices or later changes.
Advertising, analytics and privacy
Some pages may use advertising, consent and aggregate analytics services. Those services can process technical information according to visitor location and consent choices. Details and available controls are described in the privacy and cookies policy. Advertising does not constitute an endorsement of an advertiser or its claims.
Responsibility for use
You are responsible for deciding whether the site is suitable for your purpose and for independently checking important information. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the site owner is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on unavailable, delayed, incomplete or inaccurate information, or from third-party websites reached through links.
Changes
The dashboard, methodology and these terms may be updated as data sources, site features or legal requirements change. The current version and its revision date will remain on this page. Continued use after an update is subject to the current terms.
